I think that a large portion of that party politics highlight has come from Teacher's Unions, and the "old guard" that was displaced...

Castigated is a bit of an overstatement for what I wrote, which was a polite request to keep the issues facing the two school districts separate, so they could be discussed thoroughly without muddying the waters. So, school has started. Parents have paid fee upon fee for what is supposed to be a free public education. Book fees, materials fees, assessment fees, bus fees... The supply lists included reams of copy paper. Now parents are being asked to print homework sheets at home. They are being asked to buy text books. Kids have been crammed into overloaded buses, or even left and told to walk because there is no room.
