They always shoot them off from Coors Field (looks like those will be July 3rd this year). Even if you don't go to the game, you can get really close and sit essentially right next to Coors. It's pretty crowded but you'll definitely feel them. I'm sure you could figure something similar out if you wanted to the ones at Mile High since they're actually on the 4th.

I loved the one's at Coors Field. Get Rockpile or left outfield tix - you'll sit on the grass.

I'll be in Tahoe, probably Donner Lake, after bowling the Women's National Bowling Tournament in Reno.

I like the one in Parker since it's not too crowded. You may not be as close up to the action but you can get in and out pretty quickly.

Bowmar Country Club in SW. Denver has an anual event, watched those with grandparents several times..pretty good display.Coors Field..you could view from RiverFront Park..Denver Country Club fireworks can be viewed in Cherry Creek North. Inspiration Point north of Lakeside could be a nice spot to check out several events at the same time..have not been there in years, but it used to be excellent viewing.

We love the display at Coors Field and at Folsom Field (Boulder). I've heard the Colorado Rapids have a great fireworks display and the one in Estes Park is supposed to be nice too.

This is quite a drive, but the Thornton display and party is well... awesome. I live within a mile of the rec where they have the party (112th and Colorado is the rec center) They usually do an F-16 fly over, and a parachute drop before they start the fireworks timed to music. Great fun

Default Aurora

I went to the show in Aurora last year and it was very nice. Not too crowded. The Air Force Academy band played in front of the Municipal Center. I sat right up front, and I showed up late! Picnic style, bring a blanket and wine. Parking is easy at the mall.

With heavy rains, Boulder County allowing fireworks : County News : Boulder Daily Camera (http://www.dailycamera.com/news/2009/jun/28/boulder-county-fireworks-no-ban-fourth-july/ - broken link)

Above are some events in Boulder County. Erie has fireworks on the 3rd. I see you live in Park HIll. That would be a hike, but it might be fun.
