Hey Everyone,

My girlfriend and I have decided that we love the Boulder/Denver area and are hoping to relocate the first week of August.

We have 6 months of expenses saved up if we lived very comfortably and probably 8-12 months if we lived with a little less.

We both are college educated with 5+ years of experience and we are wondering how the job market is in Denver is looking.

I know this could be a very broad question but it seems like a lot of places hiring is back on and we were wondering if Denver seems to be picking up steam.

Probably willing to temp on arrival just to get our feet on the ground so to speak. But is the outlook improving for long-term employment.

Also any tips would help as far as neighborhoods, good bad areas and so on.

Thanks Guys

I think it depends on your field and what type of work you do. One of my friends just moved back to the East Coast because she couldn't find a job here in her field (clinical psychology), but I've been thinking about a new job and casually looking, and it seems like there are quite a few IT-related openings.

If you are an IT professional you won't have any problems finding a job.

I'm in supply chain management. There are a few jobs posted, but I'm not getting any call backs. Maybe IT is the way to go.
