A friend will be going to a conference in Denver October 13-15. What sort of weather/temperatures might be experienced at that time of the fall?

THIS, in all seriousness.

You really can't bank on anything. You'll need to look up the forecast right before you leave.

October weather is really variable in Denver. The previous poster isn't kidding with those options. Generally, it will be cooler, especially at night, but you'll really need to check the forecast right before.

The weather forecast will be close, but never is it completely accurate.

As everyone is saying, October in Denver can feel like fall, winter, spring, or summer; sometimes all in the same day. The temperature records for October 13 (the date your friend will get here), from WeatherUnderground, show that the average high for the day is 68º, and the average low is 37º. The record high is 85º, and the record low is 3º.

Here's a link to National Weather Service October statisitics for Denver/Boulder. You'll see that snowfall in some years is none, yet the record for the month is 31.2 inches.

In Denver and in Colorado in general, temperatures and weather are variable especially during the transition between seasons. For October in Denver, you could have sunny, warm days (75 degrees) or you could have snowy cold days (35 degrees).

Just because I love stats, the average is 67/37. The last nine years counting back starting with 2009 all for October 14th are:

69/36
50/30
44/38
68/38
72/43
67/32
65/26
61/32
66/30
60/28

So make your own judgement based on those numbers.
