Do most people who live in Delaware like it? And are most people from the state?

When I first moved here (Kent County in central Delaware) I definitely did not like it. It took me about two years to get used to having to drive everywhere......no good bookstores, a long drive to good museums and our beloved Phillies, etc. Now I do like it......our expenses are much lower than they were in PA; low taxes, low insurance rates and you can get much nicer homes for your money. So we have a higher standard of living but we drive our family car about 30,000 miles per year. It's a trade off. If you're talking about New Castle County, you're much closer to everything.

I would say that most people living in DE do like it. I have heard a few complaints from some about medical and some other issues.
But overall........most do like it.
There's a good amount of folks from other states called transplants. I have not heard one (in my little circle) say they were sorry they moved to DE.

Depends on which part of the state and your employment status. We lived in Southern DE and liked it, but eventually the need to make a living meant we had to move. If we were retired, we would not have left.

Certain people will like it, certain won't.

The people who do may like it:

Older people priced out of Jersey/NY
Older people looking for quiet retirement
Families looking for the house with a picket fence and a yard.
People moving for the beach
Immigrants in search of the American dream
People who move from small towns for job opportunities

People who may not:

Younger people from a bigger city priced out of their city. (Had to move to DE)
Younger people in general (it can be quiet)
People from homogenous areas (Delaware is mixed and diverse nowadays)
People using Delaware as a suburb to Phila, NY or Baltimore (It's not that close to either.)
People who didn't really want to move but had to for a job
Generally, people spoiled by living in a big city who want to stay "big city and cosmopolitan"

I'm 22 and moved here to be closer to my girlfriend while she's in school (University of Delaware). I don't mind quiet considering I tend to stay in most of the time on the computer, but Newark has the right mix of quiet and fun considering it's a college town.

If I want peace, I stay in the neighborhood. If I want to go to a bar, I make the 5 minute drive to Main Street. If I want to hang out in a city for the night, I can go up to Wilmington or drive 45 mins to Philly. It's good.
