Hi, everyone - I hope all are well and staying safe...

So I visited the Harrington - Felton - Dover - Magnolia - Camden Wyoming areas last year while I was in "lower, slower" Delaware / Ocean City, MD, for a wedding. While there I took the time to drive around and check out communities and liked the feel of the area, including Felton.

I don't really remember the details and distances in Felton (let's say in the middle between Routes 13 and 1) for groceries, lawn and garden stuff, dining, etc. and I would love your comments about where people go for those things because, while I like the quiet, peace, and tranquility I felt when I was exploring, I also don't like being too far from the normal conveniences.

Please and thank you!

Felton is a few miles from the true geographic center of Delaware. And a few minutes drive from the Dover area.
And, BTW, it's Slower Lower Delaware, not "lower, slower" Delaware.

I stand corrected on "Slower Lower Delaware" -- thanks.

Yes, I know that Dover proper is about 20 minutes or so away and for groceries, there's always the Dover AFB commissary, about 15 minutes away (per Google Maps). I just didn't see a lot of retail options, large or small, in closer proximity when I zoomed in on the map and thus wondered what current residents' favorites are (or not necessarily "favorites," but convenient, if they rather not drive certain distances). Or, maybe they do the road trip thing from the immediate area up to Dover or down to Milford, etc.

I'm asking because as good as Google Maps is, it's not always real-time accurate or current and doesn't tell you what's planned, re: new retail projects in the offing and whatnot.

Don't misunderstand -- I'm not saying it's a problem to drive more than 15 minutes. Besides, 15 minutes is a lot more tolerable in comparatively "placid" Delaware than 15 minutes in this decidedly "un-placid" (try "crazy" instead) place called the D.C. metro area.

It's just something I want to be aware of ahead of time in case we were to seriously consider Felton or vicinity. Thanks.
