"Asleep at the wheel" department: I just checked for the first time in a couple of months and there is a gaping hole in the site now: Leadbelly Blog | Tips and ratings of fast food around Dayton, Ohio - pizza, burgers, beer, sandwiches, bars and more (http://www.daytondailynews.com/blogs/content/shared-gen/blogs/dayton/leadbelly/ - broken link)

I really liked this blog. It was fun. These guys had a fun sensibility about food.

Any good blogs on dining in the Miami Valley that anyone wants to share?

My friend Ron was one of the Leadbelly Boys - they do stuff occasionally but he has a different position at the paper now.

Also, we have a food section at DaytonMostMetro.com that features a food/drink event calendar and list of all other food sites/blogs for Dayton: Food, Drink & Shop | Dayton MostMetro

Thanks for the link. Tell Ron that their presence is missed by one reader. I just enjoyed the innate joke of overfed guys like me cruising local dives.

I wish the powers-that-be at newspapers would realize that the human personality touch keeps readers coming back. The ActiveDayton stuff is too corporate for my taste. Or maybe it's just me, everyone prefers bland corporate.
