We had 3 windows replaced on our old home before we sold it. Paid $60-90 per window depending on size. A friend who used the same company replaced 14 windows, and she averaged $50 per window (better deal for more windows).

Sounds like a deal if they're double pane and not custom cut, standard size and have no muntin bars. Warranty is usually 1 year for glass replacement.

we have 20+ yr old house in Bedford we did serious updating to when we moved out and thought we would put it on the market--there were several windows that were original (dbl paned/alum/thermal break) with fogging--
we knew those would likely need repair anyway so went ahead and had them done...don't remember how much it cost--sometimes they only did the top or bottom portion--not both--
the work was done by local glass/mirror company--we also had them replace two windows upstairs on south side that had too much damage--we ordered the Don Young brand of windows--they were better quality than original ones because I wanted something with reflective coating/argon gas since that room gets lots of sun/heat gain...

don't remember now how much the glass was but the windows were about 400 each I think--which sounds expensive but isn't --in fact they might have been closer to 600--
