Hi- My husband and I are moving to Dallas in June and are thinking about living in the Uptown area. Our ideal place would have 2-3 bedrooms and an attached garage. Super ideal place would also have some sort of small yard (since we have two dogs). Any suggestions? Rent between 2000-2500$ is ideal.
Thanks!

There are a lot of those places along McKinney just south of Knox Henderson. Not quite Uptown (but very walkable) and they are around 5-10 years old - so I am guessing that some of them will be for rent as they were sold as owner-occupied homes. The original developer on many of them was Centex/CityHomes. Henderson is really hotter and hipper than Uptown in the opinion of many.

State Thomas is good... try going through a realtor and see if you find anything that you like in the Turtle Creek area, which is directly next to Uptown. Everything is no more than 2 miles away and it has more of a neighborhood vibe.
