I'm currently living in Los Angeles, and hating it. I've been here for two years now and I need to move. To get to my point, I hate the cold, and I'm looking at warmer places to live. Where would someone potentially find a nice CLEAN (VERY important to me, I'm OCD, so no rats or roaches or anything) apartment for $800 or less per month? I'm only one person so I'd only need a studio or one bedroom.

Thanks a lot for your help. : )

Keep looking. You know it gets cold in Dallas, right? Saturday's temp range is 16 (low) to 33 (high).

Look in San Antonio/South Texas or Florida. Dallas is NOT a warmer climate than LA, and it might actually be COLDER! My thermometer says 22 degrees outside right now, and it has been sub-freezing since Thursday.

I knew it wouldn't be warmer than L.A. I'm originally from the Midwest and I was just comparing to that I suppose.

You should consider getting an apt locator. The services are free, and they'll find you apartments in your price range with the right specials running! PM me if you want my apartment locator's name or google search apt locators in dallas

To figure out what areas might be the best fit for you, just read up on this forum. There is A LOT of information here. Some places you might want to look at: Uptown, Knox-Henderson, West Village. I moved in Sept 09 and I'm loving it so far! Good luck with the move.

The apartment locator wasn't something I'd considered before. Thank you for all your help. I appreciate it very much!
