Most montessori schools don't take infants. The ones I've looked into start anywhere from 1-2 years old.

Holy crap and I thought $500/month on Base up here was bad. We will have an infant when we relocate there but we will not be able to afford those prices...no way.

OMG!! I had no idea daycare was so expensive now (it's a 'while' since I had one in care). A parent would really have to have a good paying job (and love it!) to make it worthwhile.

This is why I became a SAHM when I got pregnant with #3. When you add in gasoline and maintenance costs for the vehicles, it just wasn't worthwhile anymore.

its about $7000 year for one infant for us. That isnt even close to what we would be losing in income for her job. And 3 days a week she is only in daycare for 4 hours.

The person paying $32k must have their kids in the super dooper expensive serve your kid caviar for lunch daycare.

I did the math, and it comes out to less than $900 per month per child. That sounds about right for most quality full-time infant care these days.

So would $500/month for an infant be impossible to find? That we would feel comfortable leaving our baby with.

probably not. Your going to pay from $600-$900 usually. I got lucky and the person that owns my daughters daycare is married to my boss so I got a great price.
