Moving to Dallas area. Office in Dallas. What should I expect for the commute from Westlake to Dallas? Thanks.

At least 45 minutes depending on traffic around the airport. The airport funnel is scheduled for a major improvement over the next 5 years and may get worse before it gets better.

Not a terrible drive, just a lot of growth out that way.

Looks like it would take 60+ minutes during commuting traffic times.

Anything in DFW can take this long depending on the flow of traffic. Friday afternoons are the worst, especially in winter with shorter days.

Why on earth would you want to commute that far? Besides the time and frustration, you could be spending $500+ a month on gas.

Westlake is bascially a high dollar Southlake and about the same commute. There are a lot of people who commute to downtown D from this area.

You'll spend a fortune in gas and at least an hour each way in your car. If you're looking to spend more quality time with your family, I'd move in closer. LD Bell in Hurst has an IB program and your commute would be a LOT shorter!

LD Bell has one of the BEST public IB programs in the US--as per the IB program itself--I don't consider the Westlake Academy public--it is a very select environment...
and the housing is not the same as Westlake nor the ambience I will admit...
but don't confuse Westlake and Southlake--two different kettles of fish...
