What's the vibe in the Design District? Industrial -- not so great for a nice stroll?

Cross-checked to Google Maps and agree that it seems traffic is very real at 4 pm, so no net benefit to Legacy West vs just meeting up directly in Dallas or Flower Mound/Grapevine. I will keep the area in mind for a weekend adventure at some point!

Design District looks like it has some cool places (breweries and gastropubs), just not a great atmosphere for a stroll outside. Though if it's supposed to be as cold as they are forecasting next week, there might not be much strolling going on anyway!

How about someplace at the Sound in Cypress Waters.....635 and Beltline.
Whisky Cake or Pinstack?

Cool reasonable dinner is Parma in Lewisville....could be slightly romantic...very unassuming place. Plenty of couples. They have a bar, but I would not go there for the bar, only if things are getting better and you want a good dinner.

Toyota Entertainment District in Las Colinas. Several good places there like Thirsty Lion, Bar Louie, Yard House, Mercy Wine Bar coming soon and 3-5 other places.

Another vote for Las Colinas - Tons of restaurants at the Toyota Music Factory or at the Water Street development down the road. There's also a lake at Water Street that you can walk around.

Date probably happened by now or someone flaked before it happened. Where was it? How was it?
