This isn't isolated to one builder, or even to Texas. In north Phoenix, if you're on the west side of Scottsdale Rd, you're in Phoenix. If you're on the east side, you're in Scottsdale. We didn't know that, and moved into an apartment that said they were in Scottsdale. When we needed the police, the Phoenix PD responded.

Off-topic, if anyone reads about the "magic zip code 85254" in Phoenix, it's an old marketing scam.

Hi! we just closed our house in that area. It is also a brand new construction. When we wrote the contract, which was almost a year ago, existing home with the same floor plan but a few years ago was sold $50K more than the brand new one so we went with new construction. So you never know what will happen when you do resale it later. But in general, people will pay premium to have a brand new construction since it is customized to your taste.

In terms of school re-zoning to little elm, it will never happen unless one day little elm ISD is as good as highland park/carroll isd. then probably all residents want to vote "yes".

Except that all those voters in little Elm ISD would also need to approve it too. What's in it for them to absorb while neighborhoods?

Easier to raise taxes than growing your property tax base and adding the additional expense of those students.

None of those homes are remotely close to Frisco.

Can anyone think of an example where this has happened? Maybe a lot by lot basis but anything wholescale ever?

I have never ever seen a district rezoned unless it was due to consolidation of maybe 2 small districts into 1 larger. I've seen areas want to leave a school district to make a brand new one and it was shot down quickly.

We used to live in Little Elm, but had a Frisco mailing address. One of the reasons we moved is because the traffic was getting so bad. Another thing I didn't like was the Little Elm library. If anyone in your family is a bookworm, and loves a good library, you might check to see if you'd be qualified to be a member of the Frisco library(we weren't). The Little Elm library is tiny, and doesn't have many books.
