Planning to take a family to 4th July fireworks and looking for best fireworks show in North Dallas. I am in Frisco so something close-by would be an ideal but don't mind to drive up to 1 hr each way if it's really worth it.

Any suggestions?

Boomtown in Addison hands down is the best. Traffic is horrid getting in and out of it. There were fireworks in Frisco last night.

I lived in Addison Circle awhile back and it was always chaotic that day. There was another poster with the same question and recommended going early to dinner and drinks afterwards to (try to) avoid the traffic.

I'm sorry it is Kaboom Town. It's tonight.

Yes, Kaboom town was great. I went to it a few years back since it routinely makes the top ten list in the nation for fireworks on the 4th of July. That's pretty impressive. It's up there with the National Mall in DC, fireworks in NYC, etc.
