We are relocating to the Plano/Frisco area very soon and love the town of Little Elm. I was wondering if anyone has any comments on the home owners associations in that area. We are used to "normal" restrictions, but someone told us that you aren't allowed to park your car in your driveway. They said it has to be in your garage. This seems a little extreme to me, is it true? Thanks!

I sent you a private message. I am sure each HOA has different rules, but I have not heard of this one. Just curious, which sub-division were you told does this?

Each HOA will have a separate set of Bylaws. As far as I know, there's no city regulation about parking in driveways. I've driven through most of the subdivisions there, and have noticed plenty of cars in driveways.

I live in a development in Aubrey, and they have the "no parking on the street and on the driveway (if it is a front facing driveway)" rule, but it is not enforcable since the streets are public (unless the whole development is private property).
The only restrictions that they can enforce here are, no trialers, boats, RV's on the street and on front facing driveways.

Different county I know, but I would imagine the rules/laws would be similar.

Are you renting or buying? if you're buying, you should have been furnished a copy of the Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions of the HOA. I'm not sure if that particular neighborhood has one, but chances are that it does.
