Hi,

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good spa in Dallas/Plano?

I want to give a gift certificate for a day of pampering (massage, facial, manicure, etc.)

Thanks.

Check "Massage Envy" it is a chain, so that works best as a gift because they will be able to go to one convenient to them.

If you want something a little more upscale, Ciao Bella at Park and Preston or the Mall at Willow Bend has a couple of them equally good.

The Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa ... right across NW Hwy from North Park center.

I've been to Massage Envy (I think it was in far north Carrollton), and I would NOT recommend it. It felt like a visit to the doctor's office, and the massage was terrible.

The Woodhouse Day Spa is supposed to be nice, but I have not been. There is a spa at Nordstrom in Northpark, I believe.

Haven't been to it yet, but Grand Spa in Addison gets all the raves in my group of friends.

Too late for the OP, but in case other people pull this up... I like A Better Body off Custer & Renner in Richardson.

Hotel Crescent Court, Mansion on Turtle Creek, Hotel Palomar, the Ritz, or the W. All are in central Dallas.

But choose Massage Envy if your idea of "sophisticated city life" is a strip mall next to a cattle ranch. That's cool too.

I'll second that. It's been awhile since I've been there but I did enjoy it. Found it when I was headed next door to give blood.

I don't recall the OP asking for snarky requests for "sophisticated city life spas.
