I'm considering a move to Plano and might have some flexibility in choosing my work location. Are there any reverse commute traffic in any direction where where around 6AM and 6PM you can travel in the direction opposite of heavy traffic? Thanks!

Uh, to Oklahoma?

Seriously, you'd have to be commuting north (towards Prosper / Frisco/ etc) or northeast (towards McKinney) to avoid traffic coming from Plano.

That's what I meant. Is traffic light going to and from those locations during rush hour traffic?

Yes, traffic is light going north (tollroad or 75) and northwest (121). Any other freeway will have major rush hour traffic.

In theory, traffic would also be light going east..Greenville, Commerce Anything going south (towards the city) or west (towards DFW Airport) will have high density rush hour traffic. Denton (northwest) should be lighter, too by a bit, as would anything due north as mentioned by TC.

Traffic on PGBT flows mostly West in the AM and East in the PM.

DNT is both ways with S in the AM and N in the PM being the worst.

75 is like DNT but the reverse flow is better.

121 is SW in the AM and NE in the PM.

Any surface streets generally follow the above flows.

DNT North sucks from PGBT in the AM. A lot people going to Legacy or Grapevine.

Huh? I have driven DNT northbound every morning for the past 8 years and it most certainly does not "suck" between PGBT and Legacy. The ramp from Bush sucks but the Tollroad continues to move at 60-80mph (at least when I'm on it -> between 7:30-8:30 depending on the day) unless its a rare day when there's a northbound wreck.

I travel from Mesquite to Legacy/Preston via 75 north and seldom have any traffic issues.
