Hi

I am planning to construct a home in Dallas and it would be a standard single family home .I plan to build 5000sq feet home,I am checking on what will be the construction cost of the house per sq feet.
I am looking for land+construction eg 10K land + 15 K construction = 25K.(appreciate if you can provide the break up.

Thanks in advance.

How long is a piece of string?
seriously, there are some good cost estimating tools out there that allow you to dial in a budget. here's one:
Building-Cost.net -- free residential building cost calculator

btw, 5000 sq.ft. is not a standard single family home.

Your question is far too open ended to answer. Construction costs probably range from $80/sf (cheapo tract home drywall) to $1,000/SF (custom everything with highest quality materials). Land could be anywhere from $20k+ lot value in a far-flung suburb to $100+/SF (ie, $1M+ per .25 acre) in the most desirable parts of Dallas (Park Cities & prime Preston Hollow estates).

So, hmm, that leaves us with a cost to build ranging from $420k-$7M. Hope that's helpful!!

Generally, it depends on where you purchase the lot... construction costs will be similar but certain areas (i.e. HP) will require a certain level of quality so that'll bring your build cost up.

My experience:

Southlake
Lot 1/3-1/2 acre - around $275K
Build - $140-150/sq ft w/o pool - multiply that by 5000.

Preston Hollow
Lot 1/4-1/3 acre - around $500-600K
Build - $140-150/sq ft w/o pool - multiply that by 5000.

HP/UP
Lot 1/4 acre or smaller - around 700K+
Build $150/sq ft w/o pool - multiply that by 5000.

Correct. Your $150/sf would be on the very low end of new homes in HPISD. $300/sf is more the norm there.
