We had a nice metallic plate with our house number on it when we bought our previous house. I would want to get one made for my new place in Texas, where to go to order a custom one? Is there an online store someone tried before?

If you have a HOA, check with them first. Also check city requirements before removing anything.

Goggle it and you'll find multiple options. Do check with HOA as SBIU suggested.

Frontgate.com has nice address plates. I don't know of an HOA in the Dallas area that does not allow them so you should be just fine

You've personally talked to every HOA or read their docs? I think you are making assumptions.

I'll check with HOA once I find a house.

Experience. Drive around even the higher end neighborhoods in the Dallas area and one will see all of the different fancy address plates that are available at places like Frontgate.

As for the cities, they want it visible. That is about it.

Check out Etsy--
site sort of like Ebay but more hand-crafted and vintage---
local industry on the web--

some very interesting and unique house numbers--
tried to get my husband to get a sheet metal one with numbers cut out to use at our vacation house--which was built in 70s--it looks very retro--but he said no--HOA wouldn't care

My HOA does care. Every house has the exact same plate, just different numbers.
