Y-100 looks pretty similar to 102.9.

SHE 103 looks a lot like Jack FM - 100.3.

97.3 seems to be kind of a hybrid of the two above and KVIL 103.7 and KISS FM 106.1. One today's playlist, I saw a few songs that you might hear on all 4, but some that you might only hear on 1 or 2 of those 4. And that's one of the biggest problems with D/FW as a radio market. These four stations are all very similar. 102.9 used to be more adult contemporary, but it made a shift toward top 40 a few years ago.

For my money, the best station in the area is 91.7 KXT. I'm not sure if it carries the AAA label on its format, but it's the closest thing we'll ever have to AAA. I can hear a lot of music there that no other stations play and I can even hear the occasional somewhat obscure early 90's alternative hit without having the Red Hot Chilli Peppers/Nirvana/Pearl Jam beaten into my head every hour.

Isn't Y-100 more like KIIS-FM (106.1)?

Y-100 would be like Kiss FM (106.1), I93 (93.3), or Now FM (102.9)

103.5 is just like 100.3 in Dallas (Jack FM)

Miami used to have 93.1 that played new rock. We have 97.1 the Eagle in Dallas which plays a lot of new rock.

Dallas has The Edge (KDGE-FM/102.1) which is sort of like the old Zeta 94.9 in Miami when it was rock.

Dallas has two NPR outlets, KERA-FM (90.1) which is the equivalent of WLRN in Miami and is all news and talk, and the all-music KXT-FM (91.7) which I don't believe there is an equivalent in South Florida.

Meh, all you need are:
1310 am/104.1 fm The Ticket
103.3 ESPN (Rangers Baseball, Dallas Mavericks)
105.3 The Fan (Dallas Cowboys, Texas A&M Sports Network)

Thanks I will add 104.1 The Ticket to my selected channels. I quit listening to the talk channels that deal with politics. I have been switching between 103.3 and 105.3 but when they get redundant I switch again.

If you're in East Dallas, you'll probably need to use 1310 -- 104.1 is for north of LBJ.
