Just moved to DFW area from Boston living with a friend in Arlington but looking to move closer to Dallas. I work in Carrollton and looking for shorter commute but I'm only familiar with Arlington. Budget is about 600
Any advice would be appreciated.

Frankford/midway area. Kelly blvd trinity Mills tons of apartments around there for cheap. The area still looks nice but it's not what it use to be.

With such a tight budget, live as close to the job as possible to conserve commuting costs. Look in Carrollton.

It's a tight budget but doable. Forget about Irving, and stay close to work. The cross streets I listed are all in Carrollton or near by. Most rental rates are negotiable.
