We are looking to rent a margarita machine for a party later this month and I am overwhelmed with how many places there are. Many say they rent in North Dallas, then it turns out they mean the northern suburbs, though some places do all areas. Point is, I am inundated with margarita machine suggestions from the net, but have no idea how to pick one. Anyone have a great experience with a company that serves the Preston Hollow area? Thanks a ton, y'all!

Try dallaspartyrentals.biz. I've used them for margarita machines in the past. They are located near 635.

As someone who has rented a margarita machine before, let me ask this... How many people will be at the party and for how long?

We had one that did 5 gallons worth at a time (which I believe was the smallest machine they had.) It was overkill for a party of 20, for 3-4 hours. Granted, we were serving other alcohol as well, like beer and wine coolers, but we had one batch ready for when the party started, and we made another towards the end of the night that hardly got touched at all.

A good commercial grade blender can do about half a gallon of servings at a time, we wish we would have just bought one of those instead of renting a machine.

It's about 40-50 people. I'm thinking one batch and then whatever else we have, like beer and wine.

Ah, then you'll need to rent a machine then.

Here's a good link (we didn't use this place, but they state how much 1 machine can provide for.)

Rental

Thank you...and thank you to the other poster! We've been debating exactly how many people will actually be drinking the margaritas, and how many of those will be having more than one (me, for sure!),so I just invested in the Margaritaville Fiji 2000. Got a great deal on it, $250 as opposed to everywhere else that was selling it for around $350 and higher. I'll have enough people helping to keep the margaritas flowing. Thanks again!

Take it from someone who has rented those things several times and assuming you have not.

Regarding the ingredients, freeze the ones that are freeze-able especially the booze . Stash all others in the frige for a day. Also start making the margs long before the first guests show.

Have fun.
