All of the areas you choose are nice. I'm not real keen on Wylie, but I work with people that live out there and they like it.

1300-1600 sq/ft is kinda small for around here unless you go into some older areas closer to Dallas. This size of home may limit where you can live in Collin county. Because areas typically start in one area with small homes, then develop in the opposite direction with increasingly larger homes, the problem I had is that I'd love to live in a a smaller home, yet I never liked any of the areas where the smaller homes were located - they all looked very low end and entry level to me. But when I'd find an area I really liked, all the homes were 3300 sq/ft+. It's not like CA where you can go into a nice community and downsize the home till you find your price range. At least that's been my observation.

Also, factor in the commute. While Plano is close to the other areas on a map, the difference in traffic at peak hours is far better in Plano. But you get alot more home for the money in the other areas for sure.
