I am living in Coppell now.
Next year, I am considering to move to Plano for opening my practice.
As I mentioned at another thread, my kid is #5 on the waiting list for North Hills Prep Kinder.

So, if my kid get a admission, do you think is it better option to choose the north hills prep than Plano public school?

Both would be good options...I think it just depends on what you are looking for in a school and how those types of programs will fit your child. Both offer the IB program, though Plano's is only at high school level and NHP's is all the way from elementary on up. So size is probably the biggest difference. Plano schools are huge! If your child went there, his graduating senior class would be bigger than the entire K-12 school enrollment at NHS! So, NHS would provide that small school, family-type environment, if that's something you value. On the flip side, Plano's size allows it to have pretty much everything under the sun...whatever your kid is into, he could probably find it there. But curriculum-wise, if your child is hard-working and has good parental support, he can get a great "college-prep" worthy education in either place.

I think how your kid does is up to the kid.
I did private school (IB course) for elementary. I did great.
I did Plano for high school (big, competitive, insane). I did great. And it prepared me VERY well for college.

Both are very good schools. You can not go wrong with them. Pick one with that suits your commute requirements.
