Greetings!

I'm flying in from Cleveland next Monday for work. I'll probably have some free time to check out one or two things either on Monday or Tuesday, so what's to see in Dallas?

We're staying in Northwest Fort Worth off what looks like the business loop. Rangers tickets are cheap that Monday night, so might try and check out a game!

Cheers,
Joe

You should post in the FW forum if you're going to be on that side of the metroplex. Dallas would be a long evening out if it's just to come over, do something, and then go back to FW. Although......the parade for the 2011 NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks will be on Monday so if you want to show your appreciation for the Mavs defeating Lebron and the Heat, come on over!

I actually did post in the FW forum as well. But it's not often I'm in Texas (last time was driving through the panhandle), so I wouldn't mind checking out Dallas, too! Plus I'll be done with work early Tuesday morning and have to head out to Dallas to go to the airport, so I'll have time to check at least something out!

The timing of this trip is completely unrelated to Baby 'Bron 'Bron losing... But I don't mind .

If you're flying into DFW, then no- there's nothing awesome in the suburbia USA surrounding the airport. You need to go into Dallas or FW for culture & food.

If you're staying in FW, head to the stockyards area. You can walk around there and eat at Tex-Mex restaurant Joe T Garcia's. If you want culture, visit the Kimbell museum in the arts district and grab dinner in the So7 neighborhood behind it. Eddie V's is a nice steak & seafood place right across the street.

PS. It's really really hot here- even for Dallas- so dress for it & drink lots of water.

I went to Reata tonight and the Rangers game. Not sure when I'll ever be out here again, so trying to find something to do in Dallas specifically.
