Do you have to pay the parking meters downtown at any time of the week? I'm thinking the ones in Longview only had to be paid during business hours Monday through Friday. I'm curious about both Dallas and Fort Worth.

Fort Worth parking is free at the meters on the weekend.

The parking meters are different in various parts of the city - be sure to read the tag on each meter. Deep Ellum has free meters on weekdays during the day while dowtown has a different structure.

Okay, I'll just look on the meters then. I was looking for a sign but didn't see one.

Read the sign on the individual meter you want to park at. I believe it's free to park after 6pm, and free on weekends.
