The Dallas parks and recreation department has 47 recreation centers, and I am interested in applying for a rec center position. I know that a lot of the rec centers are a little scary depending on which neighborhoods that you go to. I don't want to drive to all 44 of them to find out which ones are really nice and which ones are really scary. Does anybody have any idea which of the 44 Dallas recreation centers are considered to be the best ones?

Campbell Greene and Fretz Park are in nice areas in Far North Dallas.

Campbell Greene has a splash playground, a playground and lots of playing fields in addition to the rec center. It does school age child care during non-school times.

Fretz Park has a huge tennis program and a pool - a typical crummy old city of Dallas pool that's barely open - playing fields and the rec center tends to host meetings like when a congressperson wants to have a town hall or something, plus garage sales where people can rent a station. It's also an early voting place. There's a library and fire station on the same property.
