Just got an internship in Irving - Need to find an apartment - Please help (Dallas: extended stay)

I am a student at Texas Tech University and I just got a 6 month internship starting in January. I will be working in Irving near the Irving Coppell Surgical Hospital. I need to find an apartment to live in. Any suggestions? It can be unfurnished or furnished. 1 bedroom under $1000 is good but anything under $900 would be preferred.

You can drive onto Riverside Dr in Las Colinas. There are tons of nice apartments in a subdivision called La Villita. I think $1000 will get you a very, very nice one there.

Drive south of 635 on Belt Line and go east on Royal Lane. There are nice apartments there and I think they rent them furnished, too. Also take the MacArthur exit at 635 and drive north on MacArthur. This area is called Valley Ranch and is a great location for your work site. There are tons of apartments there all in your price range. Actually Budget Suites is a good idea, too.

if you do not know the area and it is short term like 6 months an extended stay is your best solution. It will not be high class living but it will allow you to know the area and will give all the basics for around 180 a week, i think except a microwave. That way you can avoid the lease and keep the cost low. Bring all the basics, microwave, full sized linens, pots, pans, knives, forks, towels, ect...

If you want to live where the people your age are, I suggest the Uptown neighborhood of Dallas. Otherwise, if you want to be close to the hospital, you should listen to these other people. Las Colinas and Valley Ranch are good spots for Irving.
