Hey,

I'm going to use the old home bicycle (too cold to ride outside), and was wondering about how to train?

Is it effective to ride several times a day for 15 minutes, instead of doing an hour or more in one time?

Also, is it a problem if the room I ride it in is not particularly well aired?

Its been shown to be more effective to burn away wt in short bursts. But for cardio health you should go for 30-60 minutes. What do you mean a room is not well aired? I would not work out at all if its a room with fumes and stuff. Otherwise just run a fan?

I am currently taking a wellness class in college and they stated that it is almost as effective to work out for shorter periods, but that you want to raise your heart rate for at least 20 minutes. So if you cant do 40 or 45 at one time, working out twice for 20 minutes would be perfect. I would think that as long as you can breath in the room it should be ok.
