Very unfortunate situation, looks like the 14 year old brother snapped and killed his sister for whatever reason.

A 13-year-old Rocklin girl who police say was killed by her 14-year-old brother and discovered dead in her bedroom by her mother Tuesday was described as a talented gymnast.

The girl was identified as Ashley Wood, according to the Rocklin Police Department. Police have not named Ashley’s brother because of his age.

Ashley was an aspiring gymnast who competed around the country, KTXL-TV reported. Friends posted photographs of the teen at the gym.

I can't even imagine what the parents of those children are going through. I just can't think of anything worse, except for perhaps being the parents of the Columbine killers.

Very sad........ Hopefully one day the boy will realise how much pain he has caused his mother and all.....

Just a sickening tragedy! The whole family will have to deal with anger at the son and mourn the loss of the daughter. It would be very hard to treat the son normally after he'd done this to his sister. Being angry is one thing, but killing his sister in anger is another.

Who knows? Maybe he had an undiagnosed mental issue? Or he was off his meds?
