You have bought in to the myth that hundreds of gun owners and their family are killed by their own guns correct? I am not going to cite the statistics that the FBI compiles and makes available yearly. BECAUSE you would not believe it coming from me anyway. Google it and let us know what the FBI crime statistics say on the topic. In order for your statement--- "If they weren't outnumbered 100 to 1 by stories of little Timmy shooting Billy in the head then we'd really have something to brag about"--- to be true thousands of youngsters would be killed by guns in the hands of other youngsters every year. It isn't happening. Although one is too many. More youngsters drown every year than die from guns. There are quite a few deaths by guns in the hands of gang bangers but even counting those your "100 to 1" figure is still way off.

It does seem that it's all about protecting the criminals over the victims these days, don't want to say the wrong thing or do anything possibly upset them. Surprisingly there are many c-d'ers who support that logic as well.

Oh this make me sick!! My daughter lives only a block away from this and she moved to that neighborhood because it was nicer and somewhat safer than her old one in Northern Liberties. I wish she would get out of Philly altogether!

Wow. Hit in the chest with a .45 and he is in the hospital?
There will be a lawsuit.

Just think- If Hillary was in office right now that man and wife would have either been beaten to death because he had no gun, or he would be in prison for defending himself with a gun he's no longer allowed to have...

Not to criticize the man - maybe he's just really an incredibly decent human being - but I can't fathom how anyone could watch his wife being punched in the face, and only allocate one round apiece for the punks who were doing it. If anyone ever did that to my wife, I wouldn't stop pumpin' em out until I saw brain matter and skull fragments exploding all over the sidewalk. Dude had a chance to make the world a better place, but now someone else will just have to do it again the right way a year or two down the road.

Great for the elderly couple. But for all of those advocating the NRA and more guns in the US, I'll just leave this here..
