Hi, We're living on N. Padre and I need a dedicated fax line, preferably not VOIP (as in Time Warner, Vonage, etc.) I currently use an Internet fax service however it's not good quality for medical records and security/reliability is less than perfect. Any suggestions for a landline telephone service would be great. I've been unable to locate a provider for other than VOIP on the Island. Thanks!!

Default Faxes are obsolete

Buy one of the new Fujitsu Document scanners from newegg.com. Then you can scan then email or save to a folder. The quality remains high & you don't have to worry about paying the high costs of a phone line.

That's the way I do all my real estate contracts.

Thank you, I did not consider a higher quality scanner. I often need to fax 8-10 pg documents and would love to type in the number and walk away. What ends up happening is I'll scan them, then get distracted and forget to log onto the fax program and send them from the computer. An automatic document scanner (which I don't already have) would certainly resolve half of my issue. Thanks again.

I just bought my mother one. She live in central TX in the country and wanted to get rid of her land line and just use her cell phone. She does taxes for people & they are great for scanning & emailing.

Newegg.com - fujitsu scanner

One of the less expensive ones work great. I have 1 at home & 1 at the office. Sold my fax machine 3 yrs ago.
