Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have been independent sense 17 and currently live in Richmond, Indiana. I am now 18 and am looking for a good place to go to a community college and start a study path in sports writing. Right now, I am only evaluating different places, but am looking to move in 10 months. I need an affordable apartment around $425 month rent, I need to be able to find a place that would hire a 19 year old college student and be respectful with my schedule, and I need to find a safe area as well with local conviences near by, such as groceries, gas stations, shopping mall maybe, etc. I am looking to stay in a fairly big metro area with 1,000,000 plus population, but i can settle for a metro area with 600,000 population.

If anybody can help me out here, please PM me.

Oildog;
I had wanted to post the same. However, I'm guessing this kid shotgunned his message on this, and probably a dozen other forums, without bothering to check the demographics of the cities on his list.

He should learn; "Google Is Your Friend"

If he actually does come back here to look at responses, he should look more towards San Antonio, or Houston if he wants a large metro area. Good luck at the $425 rent... unless you like living with a drug dealer next door.

I dunno, a simple search revealed this;
Downtown apartment with bayview (http://corpuschristi.craigslist.org/apa/1914030362.html - broken link)
not a bad deal for a poor college student.

I actually think he will be happier in a bigger town, but what the hell,,, Del Mar is a pretty good school.
