HI -
Not sure if this is the right forum but I'll give it a shot.... I have a 7-year-old Sony Bravia flat screen TV, 32".

Over the past several weeks it has started acting funny.... the screen will freeze momentarily and
the dialogue will be lost or garbled. I t can happen on any station. Today it was immediate when I turned it on... other times it seems to take awhile. I have DirecTV cable...

Can't think of anything else to mention.... all thoughts appreciated!!

It's your DirecTV ...not your TV. I have DirecTV and the exact same thing happened to me. What happened was, after numerous calls to customer service and resets of the box, was a technician came out, adjusted the dish, and ultimately replaced the box inside.

Thanks Peach. I keep getting offers from AT&T Uverse to bundle stuff... I have been thinking about
switching to that and getting better Internet -- I have AT&T for landline and DSL.... but I hate
dealing with any of this stuff!

if freezing and random pixelation is happening then uverse isnt an upgrade

perhaps replace your directv set top box ( assuming its happening only one the bravia you mentioned)

if you have it connected by hdmi try switching to another hdmi port
