Is anyone else experiencing very, very unsatisfactory performance from their Uverse remote?

Is there a way that I can recalibrate it to restore previous function?

UPDATE:

If, by any chance, someone having the same problem happens to read this - here's what worked for me.

I have a Samsung LCD. I entered the TV menu and selected the "setting" tab. I turned off the auto-powersave feature. On the advice of a tech nurd, I also removed the batteries to the TV remote. When I tested the Uverse remote it worked perfectly. I then replaced the batteries to the TV remote. Still worked perfectly.

Don't listen to everything that tech nurds tell you.

I'm not even going to pretend to understand why this works; allegedly the TV emits an infrared frequency when the auto-powersave mode is engaged that can interfere specifically with a Uverse remote.
