NAM says rain is gonna change to heavy snow Monday morning-Midday

May look like a blizzard for higher elevations where it will change sooner (above 1500')

No doubt...it's coming. The heavy rain/wind is due west and moving toward the Tri-State area fast. Get those sump pumps and generators ready, they might be needed:

It looks like there could be some major flooding in some areas, so we might not escape that. The only good news, is it looks like the highest winds are confined to Long Island, no 50 mph winds forecast in CT. Hopefully not too many power outages or tree damage:

Wow - no changeover to snow (outside of ski country) or wind advisories. Another overhyped system (but impressive rain maybe?)

Loop past 4hrs... Rain coverage should increase as the day goes on

Temps in the 50s with clouds. Feels like April....or November

If what NWS is forecasting comes to pass...we could see some major flooding.

FYI............. December snowfall:

Past 10 yrs: 33.1" (3.3" avg) 3 yrs with 6"+

Previous 10 yrs: 81.5" (8.2" avg) 7 yrs with 6"+

Guess we have to balance out one way or another.

Current temps. We had a similar situation last year but was colder behind the front.

Those of you travelling Monday dont worry... Rapid Refresh model says rain wont change to snow. Only in Litchfield county

This is mostly in part due to timing. During the day as front passes. There's always residual warmth left over. North of us though...different story. Blizzard conditions possible.
