Summer starts in 11 days. I cannot believe Spring is done. I'm sure we'll still get some Spring like weather within the next 4 weeks but June 1st is around the corner now.

On that Summer note...

This entire area hasn't had a below normal summer since 2009! We are over-do! Unfortunately it may mean we would get more clouds. I doubt we can have a below normal summer with sunny days. Would be an interesting pattern for sure. Northern Jet Stream would have to keep diving far enough south with the fronts stalling down in the Carolinas while we are dry, sunny and cool. Problem is the Jet stream doesn't dig that far south in summer.

Looking at Long Island, Islip NY Summer Avg Temps..

Islip data only went to 1984 before NWS decided to "find" older data. So the coldest summer on record is now 1965. It used to be 1992 before this data was "found". But doesn't change the fact that recent summers have been torching. But does show a more up trend because of the cooler past.

Temps left, Dew points right. Not a cloud in the sky. Might be some thin high clouds satellite not picking up.

Last beautiful day we had like this was May 11th. Wish everyday was like this.

Today was amazing. I had a lot of inside work to do but ended up sitting out on the patio just enjoying the weather and some music. Wish they all could be like this.

Ugh more rain today. I’m falling behind the lawn is in desperate need of a cut and I can’t finish planting. This weather needs to sun up.
