Flashbacks to 2009-10 when snows would miss us to the south.

Check out the Atlantic City Webcam.: https://www.atlanticcitywebcam.com/

Yep, I'm getting it here in SWNJ but it's only sticking on grass, trees and motor vehicles.

I never heard this forecasted for today as it was supposed to be partly cloudy all day.

Thanks. Don't know where you get your forecasts from but I suggest changing? NWS did have snow in the forecast yesterday for today but a coating.... It was all over my twitter feed as well.

And then this morning this is what I posted... Changes because of this hard to forecast inverted trough situation. They did up the totals.

Inverted Trough! Awesome.

National Weather Service Mount Holly NJ
557 AM EST Wed Dec 5 2018

As closed low moves through the Ohio Valley and into western
PA, an inverted trough develops along the NJ coast. Meanwhile,
strong shortwave energy will lift from Delmarva and into
southern and central NJ in the late morning/early afternoon. In
addition, ahead of this system, onshore flow along the NJ coast
will allow for an influx of increasing low level moisture into
the region.

For the 630AM update: Some changes were made to the snow amount
forecast, adjusting up slightly over the previous advisory area,
and expanding the area of 2 inches further south into Atlantic
County. As of 09Z, the surface trough appeared to be located
just north of KACY (wind observations are a bit more sparse
further north, so its hard to say exactly how far north of ACY
this was located). We are starting to see some radar echos off
the coast of Atlantic County.

Snowfall total forecast this morning

Between my local weather networks and TWC which I know is worthless is where I get my forecasts.

Back in the day when I was a kid in the Fort Lee, NJ area (till almost 6.5 years ago) I used to turn on my am radio to either 880am WCBS or 1010am WINS and get better weather forecasting.

According to your map I'm in the less than 1 inch total accumulation, the streets and sidewalks are just wet.

I am pissed about this ... I'll jot it down in my weather journal as "Miss To The South!!"

I understand in Atlantic County NJ where the main snowfall fell which is about 45 minutes east from me on the AC Expressway, they had several inches.

With my area in that "miss to the south storm" = you never know with that as it may creep more north than forecasted.

I'll stay tuned as mother nature might have a joker up her sleeve.

Don't worry, you'll get your snow sooner or a little later - it's my area that normally escapes a lot of it and in fact I'm awaiting the 70 degree weather within the next 3 months lol!

This snow is now officially over here.

So we had December temps in November.
Now getting Janaury temps in December.

Does that mean we'll get March temps in February?

I used to watch / use TWC as well and after years of being frustrated over how wrong they are all the time, I now rely on Bernie / AccuWeather and Cambium!
