Looks like 90s may be creeping back Sunday, Monday, and/or Tuesday......

Hope this isn't another year (like 2018) where we saw 90s well into September

85 degrees with a borderline dew point of 60 for New Britain at last check. Hmmm!

Well, with High pressure over the Arctic, the Sea Ice is almost as low as 2012. That means it might be easier for Arctic outbreaks to happen from Canada. 2012 we had Sandy (and early snows for higher elevation) then early November we had the historic early snowstorm in CT and it ended up well below normal. Melt that Arctic!

Some stats:

Quick look at the CT coast monthly avg temperature departure since 2006. Summers are more stable than winters but notice nothing really crazy since Early 2018 when April was 7% below normal and Feb was 17% above normal.

Jan-Feb-March 2014 & 2015 were crazy. All 3 months below normal in a row back to back years.

And FYI... Last well below normal September we had was in 1963 when the Avg temp was 61.5°. Normal is 66.2°.

I don't need a record cold September, just a chiilier than normal one like 2006 when max temps were 60s in 1st half and 40s at night in 2nd half.

Check out the radar right now. No daytime heating? No problem, storms just popping up in the middle of the night

Had two thunderstorms come through Cromwell/Middletown. The first one had a little more behind it. I want to say after 10 pm?

Dare I say that was a warm front coming through?
