Beautiful day to go Strawberry picking at Jones Family Farm in Shelton. Temps in mid 70s and Dry!

On my way.. Nice Cirrus Clouds overhead.

Had to pass a residential area to get to the farm.

Dirt Road to parking area.

A tractor picks us up and brings us to the field. You can walk back. I guess they do this to keep some order. (The field isn't far)

Getting closer..

Lots of people there. They have picking available everyday. We're all assigned a specific row and we need to stay in the row and pick.

Walking back to pay, another view of this area of the farm. The plants were ok.. berries seemed a bit smaller than last year.

Mmmmmmmmm. the taste is unbelievable. $20US Dollars for this. The $18.45 was last years price and the box was fuller. (little more expensive this year).

We re-use the box and they give us couple dollars off at check out for recycling. So in the storage it goes until next year.

Makes our rush hour a non-issue! LOL

At least they are polite enough to smile and wave at the camera man. LOL

Was working in south central CT this morning (East Haven)

I don't get these backdrop views in southwest CT. Either its because there's more hills as opposed to flatter like here in New Haven or more dense with trees closer in.

Wife and I went on a little sunset harbor cruise in New Haven Saturday night. Was actually very relaxing and fun. I took a lot of sunset pics, but here are my 3 favorites:

July 3, 2014. Low Tide in Milford. Haze on the Long Island Sound can't see Long Island. This is morning after a stormy night that knocked temps down into the 60s from upper 80s. Front pushing through and Hurricane Arthur off SC coast.
