And Providence is ranked 14th. And none of those usual snowy places in upstate NY are in the top 20!

Been a lame January in Eastern US. Islip and Providence benefited from the coastal storm. Inland got screwed. No Lake effect because no real arctic air blasts.

That looks like it could change. Im not ready.

Not even close but right on time. Pick up tonight, peak tomorrow afternoon, die down tomorrow night.

Time to secure the tarps.

Storm is currently over the Southeast causing all kinds of problems. 15 people dead from severe storms including Tornadoes.

I've been enjoying the lack of snow and 40s and 50s but .......... it all comes to an end this week. Highs in 30s coming struggling to go above freezing some days. Lows in the teens and 20s.

Latest GFS says it goes on for a week with 2 deep shots. No big snowstorms but snow showers now and then.

Outside. You can sense something is brewing. Mostly because its not a typical West or North wind from a front.
Winds are off the ocean so a storm is starting to brew and get closer.

Notice anything? I thought you were going to say that New Jersey had the highest projected snowfall on your map - 3" in West Milford, a mountainous area of northern New Jersey. Interestingly enough West Milford, New Jersey is named for Milford, Connecticut!

But I think that "bridge to Long Island" is actually the Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Ferry. Also notice the three "bridges" coming out of New London (to Long Island, to Fishers Island and to Block Island). Those should be ferries.

Yeah, that area of NJ has a nice climate. Similar to Northwest CT.

Hmmm, The red lines represent roads, as I'm sure you knew, I doubt they wanted to add ferry services to the map. Check out NWS Boston, they don't have it. But who knows. Maybe
