Northern tier Cold Front fighting hard to push south against this southeast ridge core. Wonder where it will stall. Those areas nearby the stall should have chance of storms for days

2pm Heat Index. Feels like

94° Bridgeport.
96° Windsor Locks.
106° Atlantic City.
108° Dover.
104° Washington.
112° Williamsburg, Virginia?!

Jump in those pools! BUT HEADS UP FOR STORMS! REFRESH YOUR RADARS EVERY HOUR!

Zoomed out

Loop 12:45-4:45pm today. You'll see the early local pop up storms and now the main front coming through.

Lightning hit a house in Granby and a tree in Windsor Locks around 3:50pm. Just image all the other objects lightning is hitting that we aren't reporting.

Kinda sucks they are part of our regional average temp. Wonder if they alone are bumping the regions average up.

Current OBS for NY State ASOS sites sorted by warmest lows of the day.. Change state abbreviation in link to CT to view Connecticut.

I often wonder what is going on with LaGuardia, they often clearly have the highest nighttime lows in the region and they are higher than in the past. And despite my theories on rising nighttime lows vs. you-know-what, I won't bring that up here because they are still quite anomolous vs. other parts of the region as you said above. That would normally lead to the theory being a growing UHI, but I can't get what's special about LGA over other stations.
