Yesterdays max temps. I like that lone pink there in CT.

Please predict the next snowstorm.

I am hoping no snow this winter. This has been the best summer weather in CT for awhile. Last winter was amazing.

Keeping my central AC at 75 and then just fans on at night. I open the window, but allergies are bad and makes for a tough morning.

As previously stated, I use a window unit in my bedroom when it's humid/hot and don't find central AC necessary. I didn't need AC last night, since it cooled off nicely plus there was a really good breeze. I haven't decided if I will use it tonight but I'm thinking yes. I thought yesterday was great. The lack of humidity made it comfortable (for July) in the shade and the evening was downright fantastic to hang outside.

I didn't realize a little batch had formed and heading across lower Fairfield County. Next chance after today is Friday so lets see if we can get some today

Another warm morning btw

As far as the humidity this summer.... So far so good...

Average Summer Dews at BDR.

Highest was 2005: 65.4°
Lowest was 1954: 59.9°

So far 61.1, lowest since 2007.

Much to Cam's dismay I'm sure, I ended up not using AC last night, instead opening the windows up wide. Woke up to temps in the 60s at my house, so a comfortable night. I'm not sure if it is because I am at a higher elevation (for CT, anyway), but nights tend to cool down nicely. With that said, there is no doubt the AC will be on tonight! Today sounds like it will be awful.

To put a close to a recent past issue on this thread, hot as it's been, after a few close calls last week with highs of 87-89, Binghamton NY FINALLY ended it's long 1400+ day streak of no 90+ degree temperature yesterday. And they BARELY did it (it was between hourly readings and was exactly 90....however they are expecting to be a bit higher than that today).

I did notice that ocean-surrounded Block Island, RI has been barely above 80 all this time......

I noticed the dews seem to average higher after 1990 on that chart, any thoughts?

See, if you were like me and didn't use AC in the car, you wouldn't feel like it was a blast furnace when you got to the store.

I run my entire house on a large window AC upstairs. It was turned off at 4:30a and it's still only 75 upstairs. I won't turn it back on until this afternoon.

I do have a small unit for downstairs if it gets too hot, but don't use it often. I normally just put a fan at the top of the stairs for an hour or so, but after that it's good. It even manages to turn off the dehumidifier in the basement.

Keep in mind I get full southern sun in the front of the house. I keep the shades drawn when it's this hot, they are just cheap room darkening shades. Cheap as in $5

How high are your electric bills, for those of you that use central air 24/7? I sit for a few people that have it and I don't think I'd enjoy that bill or closed up life.

I thought it was pretty comfortable yesterday. Went for a nice 90 minute ride in the woods and worked outside the rest of the day. I'm headed out for a ride soon.
