well ok ... but pointing out the theory seems to be it can't be all that negative or "business unfriendly" if the problem is there's no business tenancy/occupants to begin with...nothing ...nada... Zip out there but weeds for decades...what's unfriendly is not even attempting to be listed on LOOPNET or any other listing services for commercial use..It is down right business unfriendly to say owners should have no penalty for forever preventing businesses from utilizing commercially zoned plots and therefore ensuring towns won't get full value from their commercial zones..

I haven’t heard anything about this, but what’s Indeed’s status in Stamford? That was HQ at one point, but not sure if the Austin office has taken over?

I know Indeed's corporate headquarters has moved back and forth between offices in the past but currently Austin is listed as their headquarters. That does not mean Stamford is not a major office though. Last year they announced they were adding 500 workers there bringing the total to 1,200 in Stamford. Jay

Default CT missed it.... but only by.01 percent LOL

The highest taxed state in the Country (12.6 percent) lost to NY by only .01 percent. Even beat CA, which isn't easy. After the gas tax increase and tolls were going to be "solid" into the number one spot...And a funny thing, all the top five were Democrat run States. ( As reported by the NY Post today from the non-partition 24/7 Wallstreet Web Site)...So, that young family or small business from out of State see's that and thinks "Yep lets pack up...that's the place we want to live" LOL. Or the "high net worth person or retired single or couple says " Hey we can't move now..were this close to being number 1" ..Don't forget come this fall make sure you keep voting the same way.. PS Many of us retired Hedge Fund people living here in Greenwich are still Laughing our ass's off at the economic development board decision to give AQR 13 million to keep 200 jobs... 1st these jobs could start in Greenwich then be exported anywhere in the country, they could be part time, they could be consulting jobs for anyplace in the country and the list of loop holes goes on and on...Your tax dollars went to a company whos CEO makes over 200,000,000 per year ( that's not a misprint)...Anyway...CT number 1 next year for sure

It’s actually fairly easy to beat California. A lot of people have this misconception that CA has the highest taxes, but aside from income and gas tax, it’s not as horrific as one thinks. Their property taxes are insanely low and zero vehicle property tax. I think even TX had higher property taxes than CA.

Anyway, yes, CT has become an insanely tax heavy state in the last decade.
