Our biggest losses last decade prime earning ages 45-49 year old, 6.1% reduction, or -13,600 Pretty consistent with a certain rival site leaving state membership quantity multiplied by average size of household.

Our largest gain, 75-79 year olds.

Could Connecticut actually be envied that its recent tax cut was primarily for the poor and middle class and won’t put the state in a position for future deficits? A report from Washington based Center on Budget and Policy Priorities calls our state an “emerging bright spot”. How can that be? Jay

This blog post is full of opinion but it contains some very interesting and important information on recent comments made by Disney CEO, Bob Iger about Bristol based ESPN. Could Disney be rethinking spinning off the sports media giant? It sure sounds like it. Jay

To add to this, the State Department of Revenue Services is preparing a study on the tax burden of the state’s wealthiest citizens, similar to a study that was conducted of the state’s poorest citizens a couple years ago. The study won’t be completed until December though. Jay

Economic Climate in CT-lamont-bigpoppa.jpg

This picture above is why Independents love Lamont. It is also the reason why our tax system is getting better. Big Poppa is on the job.

This is a DRAMATIC shift in what I normally see about CT.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/care...1d3e3709&ei=11

"CNBC is out with its annual ranking of the top states for business, and part of the metric includes the best and worst states in which to live and work."

"Best States to Live and Work"
・Vermont, 327 out of 350 points
・Maine, 288
・New Jersey, 282
・Minnesota, 269
・Hawaii, 263
・Oregon, 248
・Washington, 242
・Colorado (tie), 240
・Massachusetts (tie), 240
・Connecticut, 233

I have been saying this for a long time on here. Outside of Fairfield County the rest of the state has pretty reasonable housing prices with high household incomes to support their lifestyles.
