So we've spent a bit more time the past few weeks in Woodbridge, Orange and North Haven. I feel like I owe orange a bit of an apology. There are still stretches of orange that I find pretty random, but we finally stumbled across orange center, and some of the neighborhoods around there, and it's actually pretty cute, and there are some very nice streets and homes. I talked this week to a Woodbridge resident of many years, and found the conversation interesting. To hear him tell it, there's Woodbridge and then everything else. Real attitude. It sounded like he got nicked and dimed for everything because he had to belong to multiple clubs for swimming, tennis, and other activities and services. But he was fine not having trumbull's city services becUse he thinks his schools are much better, and he was willing to forego orange's commercial tax base because he didn't want the "element" that businesses would bring to town. He said he's fine paying more in taxes to live in a more exclusive town. It was educational. And I still think the millbrook part of north haven feels almost like a hidden gem. Nobody ever talks about it, it's not even 10 minutes from Woodbridge, and really charming. So it's a contender.

Woodbridge does have a bit of snootiness. I've heard that from friends in that area.
