Since my computer is running half the day anyway and my webcam is idle, I was wondering if it is possible to set up a streaming webcam without special paid software, server etc. Kind of like a weather cam from my balcony. I don't want to spend any money on it, just use what I already have (webcam, Windows XP SP3). If it is not possible, no problem
(On Google I find many sites which I don't want to click, the domains don't seem very serious, and I don't want any Spyware on my PC.)
Skype, interesting, I used to have that installed. I suppose I would have to hijack their server so to speak as it seems to me that the big problem is where to stream to once the frames leave my computer

This one sounded the most interesting, though I haven't got it to set up yet.
FWIW: I use a webcam with built-in web server and wireless networking. Obviously it costs a lot more than a simple USB webcam (I paid maybe $99 for it), but I never have to leave my computer running to use it, and I can put it anywhere in my house w/o having to run any wires, except power. Mine is an AirLink101 AIC250W. They make a lot of cheap stuff but the webcam has worked fine for me.
