'Good' and 'cheap' don't go together tbh.

I have a Lenovo laptop that wasn't that expensive and I like it. It's one of their lower end models and I had to get a brown (horrors) cover but who cares. It runs Win7 and has a simple Microsoft photo gallery and Word Starter. For research and email and photos, it's good enough for me. It has that connection--I think that's for tv? Lenovo G series, under $400.00.

Never mind. I did a little research. Probably not what you're after.

Why not? "Bad" and "expensive " do.

I would look online at sites like newegg.com and tigerdirect.com.

Whatever you do don't buy a laptop from Best Buy.

Check this one out....

Newegg.com - Lenovo Essential B590 (59366616) Intel Core i3 2348M(2.30GHz) 2GB Memory 320GB HDD 15.6" Notebook Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit

It has an Intel i3 CPU, Windows 7 Pro x64, 2GB RAmand a 320GB HD

for the money it's a pretty decent deal
