Not so. The server would need to be running a "cloud" for that to be true. You could be storing your pictures just on a regular server connected to the internet.

So you bump a 7 month old thread to post erroneous information?
Please enlighten me then: how do I install a "cloud"? Can you link me to somewhere that I can buy some cloud software please?

Good definition right here:

A cloud service has three distinct characteristics that differentiate it from traditional hosting. It is sold on demand, typically by the minute or the hour (actually disagree with this one: it is usually a monthly access fee);
it is elastic -- a user can have as much or as little of a service as they want at any given time;
and the service is fully managed by the provider (the consumer needs nothing but a personal computer and Internet access).

Everything will end up in the cloud(s) one day, computers and even us!
